The most effective way to entice a strike from any predatory gamefish is to present a live bait that is nervous, and in obvious distress. Suspending the bait from a kite is the best way to do so. This allows the leader to be out of the water, and makes the bait jump, skitter, and swim frantically against the upward pull of the kite.
